Bottom 3 Costa Rica

I’ve decided to do a post on what I liked most about Costa Rica, and one on what I liked the least. I’ll start with the negative things, and then make it all much happier with my “Best Of”-post, because simply, it will be more awesome.

He decidido hacer una entrada con lo que más me gustó de Costa Rica, y una con lo que menos. Empezaré con lo que menos me gustó, ya que me gustan más las cosas que me gustan más. Ja.

1. Raccoon that stole Marita’s (my awesome travel companion and awesome friend) banana and almost threw away my phone. Not cool, man.

Crab-eating Raccoon (Procyon cancrivorus) (although here it turned into a Banana-eating Raccoon (Procyon bananivorous) Haha!)

1. El Mapache Cangrejero (aquí, el Mapache Platanero jaja) que robó el plátano de Marita, y casi mi móvil también! No molaba.

2. Getting attacked and scratched in the head by this evil bird (AKA White-throated Magpie-Jay (Calocitta formosa)).

2. Este pájaro malvado, también llamado Piapia Azul, me atacó y me arañó la cabeza.

3. Thinking that we were going to die because of all the wind at night close to Rincón de la Vieja.

I don’t have any photos from the 10 hours when this was happening, since we seriously thought we were going to die. This photo shows how extremely secluded the place we stayed at was though.

3. Creíamos que nos ibamos a morir por todo el viento que hacía aquí cerca del Rincón de la Vieja. No hay fotos porque de verdad creíamos que nos ibamos a morir.

Stay tuned for my “Top 10 Costa Rica” which I’ll publish Monday. I’ll probably won’t write as much in Latin though (impressive, eh?).

LOL! I can totally identify! The white throated magpie’s – we call them Juraca’s – are pretty crafty. They torture my dogs and raid their dog food. Mapache’s are everywhere. And I’ve almost been blown off Rincon de la Vieja.

If that’s as bad as it gets, I’ll take it!Am tweeting this out via @phermosabeach, @crsurfcharters and @la_finisterra! Nice post! Pura vida!

Haha and I thought my experience was unique! :P I’m glad you liked the post, I will post more on Costa Rica since I LOVED it there! But now the positive part (which would be like a “Top 100″!!)! Oh, and thanks for the tweet! :)
